MOZAMBIQUE ADOPTS THE 10TH EDITION THE NICE CLASSIFICATION

It's official. The Industrial Property Institute of Mozambique announced that Mozambique has adopted the 10th edition of the Nice Classification, that came into effect on the 1st of January 2012. Mozambique is a member of the Nice Agreement regarding the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Registration of Trade Marks, and acceded to by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 38/2001 of 12 June. The Industrial Property Code of Mozambique in particular Article 112 (3) provide that products and services for registration purposes shall be arranged by class, according to the international classification provided for in the Nice Agreement of 15 June 1957 and subsequent amendments thereto.
